...About the production...
I have interests on nature and principles of the universe. My artistic views go into the structure and elements of phenomena before my very eyes. That is sometimes composed of sceneries, or the other times formed as portraits. The works drawn through this point of view are colorful and have behaviors of trick art. When viewers find out the tricks in the paintings, I hope their thoughts go to the evolution of a world.
The thing you are seeing in front of you makes you see a different world. In that world, there is another world glimpsing you. Including this type of the nested objects, I love motifs that lead you to somewhere else. That is because each one of us is shrouded, swathed, and guarded by many things in each one’s unique environment of the galaxy, the solar system, the earth, the sky, the ocean, the mountains, or the cities.
How transient and minuscule the limit of human activity is. On the other hand, there are long-lasting activities of human beings in the world around us. In my works, I would like to express this type of hopes, agony, and dilemma which every human being thinks about throughout their lives.

:About the recent new works, “Shimi -the natural shapes-“
Though life in Berlin including time spent in a language school, I recognized Berlin is one of the most globalized cities in the world. For example, the city is full of Germans of course, Turks, Arabs, Italians, Spanish, Swiss, Polish, French, English, Americans, Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese. Each spends everyday life. This is the first time for me to live in this type of international cities. In such ambience, I recognized I am always asked where I am from, what I have done, how I am grown. I am put to stand a gap between self-awaking as Japanese and receiving foreign culture. That makes me keep reconsidering my identity. After all, however, we are all same human being. Sometimes, I could share thoughts deep in my root with them. All along, in my work, I have work series handling the shapes of nature. Each shapes of nature (for example, stems of tree, roots of trees, cracks in walls, moss clinging to trees, and terrains) has some difference in size and shapes but in same kinds. For the series, I have painted a collection of them and put them together. Reflecting experience in Berlin in this concept, first, I would like to collect freckles on people’s skin from all races, freckles on animal skin, smudges made of daily life, natural shapes of plants, and shapes of the terrain of my beloved places. Second, I would turn this collection into art works.
